Resumen | This monograph seeks to highlight what we witness as globalisation sans development, a process that cannot be justified by economic logic, by ethical norms or even by political acumen. It rejects the misconceived notions in mainstream theory and policies that liberalised markers under globalisation can deliver growth by imparting efficiency; and that growth can generate people-centered development. The monograph pushes for a globalisation that is governed from below, and makes a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate about the issues pertaining to the globalisation policy. The author has added an ‘Afterword’ in this revised edition. |
