MAHABHARATA DRAUPADI

Anna Mani was a Physicist who did her doctoral work in the laboratory of Nobel laureate C V Raman. After a post doc in the area of meteorological instrumentation in the UK, she spent the rest of her career in the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Poona and retired as Deputy Director General (Instruments) from IMD, Delhi. Her contributions range from creating meteorological instruments, physics of the atmosphere including ozone and radiation to setting up the foundations of solar and wind energy.
